78-year-old airlifted after truck, train crash – KWQC


BUREAU Co., Ill. (KWQC) – Deputies said a 78-year-old man was airlifted after a truck and a train crashed Wednesday morning.
About 9:34 a.m., deputies responded to a crash involving a truck and a train in the 900 block of East Street, according to a news release.
Deputies said a 78-year-old man from Princeton, Illinois, was driving a truck north of East Street when it crashed with an Iowa Interstate train.
The driver was removed from the truck by emergency crews and airlifted, deputies said.
The crash is being investigated.

Princeton Elementary School District 115 will hold kindergarten registration for new students and current Bright Beginnings Preschool students on Feb. 26 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Feb. 27 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Douglas gymnasium.
Parents must bring a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate and proof of residency at the time of registration. The registration fee is $90.
Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2026.
