PRINCETON, Illinois — A death investigation is underway after a vehicle wanted in connection with a Wisconsin homicide was found near Princeton, Illinois, state police said. The driver and only occupant was found dead inside. 
Around 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, troopers with the Illinois State Police and other law enforcement officers found a suspect vehicle wanted in connection with a homicide in Rock County, Wisconsin. 
Police said they attempted to conduct a traffic stop when a pursuit started. It ended at the Great Sauk Trail Rest Area on I-80 westbound, just north of Wyanet. 
When officers approached the vehicle, ISP said they found the driver had died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. 
ISP said it is conducting an investigation and will remain in contact with the Bureau County State’s Attorney on the incident. No additional information is available.
