The following information is courtesy of the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
LARCENY: Felony larceny was reported in the 100 block of Grover Norris Road.
THEF: Theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 100 block of Mountain Bike Way.
LARCENY: Misdemeanor larceny was reported in the 4000 block of NC 105.
ARREST: Scott P. Douglas, 42, of Banner Elk, was arrested and charged with resisting public office and fugitive. Douglas was issued a May 15 court date and a $21,000 secured bond.
ARREST: Quinta L. Naffziger, 54, of Princeton, Illinois, was arrested and charged with driving while impaired. Naffziger was issued a May 15 court date and a written promise.
ARREST: James J. Zwickert III, 29, of Boone, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon on LEO, communicating threats, resist public officer and communicating threats. Zwickert III was issued a June 30 court date and a $25,500 secured bond.
LARCENY: Misdemeanor larceny was reported in the 300 block of Elk lane.
ARREST: Travis L. Presnell, 44, of Mooresville, was arrested ad charged with driving while license revoked. Presnell was issued a $1,000 secured bond. No court date was listed.
