WHITE COUNTY, Ill. (WEHT) – Illinois State Police have identified the man killed in a crash in White County.
Troopers say 18-year-old Clinton J. Richardson of Norris City, IL. died after another driver crossed the center line striking his car head-on.
The crash happened just after midnight Saturday.
Authorities said the two-vehicle crash happened at County Road 400 E when one vehicle crossed into the southbound lane, hitting a second vehicle head-on.
Both the driver and the passenger in the other vehicle were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
It is unclear why the vehicle crossed into the southbound lane.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Local and federal officials were in Evansville at a news conference to update the public on the large-scale drug trafficking ring that took place over multiple states. Thirty individuals involved in the ring face federal charges, including one who is still on the run, L.C. Moore.
“He is a fugitive, and he needs to be held accountable for his role in the fentanyl distribution that was occurring in this investigation. So, we’d like to bring him in and hold him accountable for what he’s done,” says Michael Gannon, Assistant Special Agent In-Charge with the Drug Enforcement Administration.
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) Some senators representing the Tri-State return to our area just hours after yesterday’s vote on the continuing resolution, which keeps the U.S. government funded.
The senate approved the resolution late last night, but some area senators are frustrated over the process.
HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Henderson Police arrested a man on Friday for shooting a vehicle with three people inside, including a two-year-old who was critically wounded.
According to police, Darren Miller, 29, shot the vehicle from a short distance away just after 1 a.m. on Monday at the intersection of Powell and South Adams. A two-year-old child named Phoenix was struck by the gunfire, and was taken to a hospital in Indianapolis. Her family says that Phoenix is now recovering from surgery at the hospital.
