A lively crowd in Princeton Saturday doing their part for the nationwide “No Kings” protest. It was an effort to express opposition to the Trump Administration. Rick Wilkin, Bureau County Democrat Chairman said Republicans and Trump are taking away American’s freedom, putting federal employees out of work and taking control of the military. Wilkin’s biggest fear during Trump’s reign is the loss of democracy:
A Trump supporter drove his gray truck adorned with various signs past the protestors a few times. Wilkin estimated about 400 persons may have present over the two hour event. Check out our videos from this event on our 103-9 WLPO Facebook.
Ottawa organizers of an “No Kings” rally there estimated one thousand people participated. People with signs saying “No King” and “Share the Pain; Tax the Rich” marched up La Salle Street from Madison Street to Washington Park Saturday. The protest remained peaceful.
