Tortoises took center stage Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026, during a Tortoise Race at Vintage Vines in downtown Spring Valley. The fun-filled event brought together locals and visitors to cheer on the slow-and-steady competitors while raising money for the Hall Township Food Pantry and Project Success of Eastern Bureau County.
